The Chevrolet Corvette C6.R is a grand tourer racing car used for endurance racing. The C6.R is the replacement of the Corvette C5-R racing car. The Corvette C6.R racing car made its debut in 2005 and contineud the dominance of the C5-R. The C6.R won races in the Le Mans Series, the FIA GT Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. 2010 GT regulations allowed the previous GT1 Spec C6Rs eligible for continued international competition up until 2012.
Now a sole GT1 chassis Corvette competes, under the V8 Racing banner from Holland. Their chassis 005 machine currently competes annually in the Dubai 24 Hours.
