This weekend, Callaway Competition enter the sixth race weekend of the 2012 ADAC GT season at the Lausitzring. The duo in the roller Corvette has the chance to extend their championship lead of two points over their main rivals. Last time out at the Red Bull Ring in Austria teammates Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Andreas Wirth scored their best results of the season with fifth and fourth. The duo narrowly missed out on their first podium this year, by only two seconds! The previous outings for Callaway at the Lausitzring have proven well for the German squad. Daniel Keilwitz captured his first pole position in the ADAC GT  in 2011, with the team also scoring on the podium previously with Toni Seiler.

"We approach this weekend optimistically, but will attack with our Corvettes. It is a car that works very well on any track," says Callaway Competition team manager Ernst Woehr. "On the Lusitzring we were already successful in the past." I hope that Diego and Daniel can extend their championship lead and make the leap onto the podium along with Heinz-Harald and Andreas." The weather will however make this weekend more exciting and unpredictable, due to changing conditions that are predicted. "We have now strongly improved the handling of our Corvette on a wet track, but the competition is likely to have even a slight advantage over us in rain or mixed conditions.

For leader Daniel Keilwitz, his aim will be to rebuild a point cushion in the two races this weekend, in preparation for the two final rounds of the season. "I think that we have a good chance at the Lausitzring, to fight for podium places. We want to expand our points in any case", says Daniel. His teammate Diego Alessi will also be on the hunt for points this weekend: "We need every point and it will certainly be one or other time something more aggressive go to work." "Every point counts at the end of the season."

Two more Corvette Z06.R GT3 are entered by Callaway Competition in the form of Toni Seiler Racing. Toni Seiler/Frank Kechele will aim for another strong points finish, after the duo captured their first victory of the season in the Amateur category last time out.
